Eaton 5SC UPS Uninterruptible Power Supplies

The Eaton 5SC range of uninterruptible power supplies with line-interactive power protection offers an affordable and reliable backup energy supply solution for small businesses and data centres. This pure sine wave uninterruptible power supply provides high-quality output voltage for wider compatibility with today's active PFC (power factor corrected) power supplies in sensitive IT equipment. The 5SC range of UPS systems is designed with buck and boost operation to correct a wide range of input voltage variants through steady adjustments without the use of batteries.

The 5SC UPS System has a built-in LCD interface that provides real-time status updates on key parameters including input and output voltage, load and battery level and estimated runtime. The interface also allows for the configuration of output voltage, the audible alarm and power input sensitivity.

With USB and serial connectivity, the 5SC is compliant for automatic integration into major OS Systems including Windows, Mac OS and Linux. Eaton’s Intelligent Power® Software Suite provides advanced software capabilities ensuring compatibility with Major IT software including virtualisation platforms.

The easy-to-install and compact form is the perfect solution for installation in small cabinets (rack-mount models) or integration into other small spaces such as kiosks and cash machines (tower mount models).

What is an Uninterruptible Power Supply used for?

An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is designed to give your computers, servers, server rooms and data centres power in the case of any unexpected energy cut off or in similar applications. These power supply devices contain a battery that guarantees power to your computer system for a certain period of time. These enable the user time to save the current task and shutdown software. Uninterruptable power supplies ensure mission-critical data loss can be prevented.
