RS232 and RS485 interface

The alternative to bus systems when wishing to connect several sensors and actuators to a PC or to special electronic equipment. Special interface cards are not necessary. The interface modules are integrated into the relevant expansion modules
Communication takes place via a simple ASCII protocol for increased transmission security, with a checksum if required.


RS 232 interface module
The interface module can be controlled via the interface found on all PCs. Different transmission speeds and formats can be set. In accordance with the specifications for the RS 232, the maximum distance is 15 m.


RS 485 interface module
In this interface, it is possible to operate a maximum of 8 interface modules. In accordance with data transfer sensitive to interference, the maximum distance is 1200 m with signal inversion.
