The I/O modules fit into the terminal bases that are designed to allow direct termination of the field wiring. This saves time, space and costs.,A terminal base is required for each input or output module used. It has terminals for signal interfaces, DC high and common. This allows direct wiring of the field devices and removes the need for additional terminal blocks. The base is DIN rail mounting and has a 10 position rotating key to allow the bases to be coded to match their respective I/O modules.
