EATON Motor Accessories for use with PKE & PKZ Series Motor Protection Circuit Breakers

Eaton's reliable and robust motor protection circuit breaker range is the perfect solution for your motor protection needs, providing protection from electrical faults such as an overload of high voltages, short circuits or relay shutdowns.

This wide range of accessories from Eaton designed for the PKE and PKZM0 series of motor protection circuit breakers including extension terminals, wiring sets enclosures and many more.

Typical Accessories

Incoming Extension Terminal – This extension accessory is used for a three-phase commoning link, the device is protected against accidental contact for user safety.

730-931: 63A, 25mm terminals

Under Voltage Release – Used to automatically trips the MPCB upon reduced voltage or supply failure. Fitted to the left of the MPCB, and MPCB needs to be reset manually.

213-0901: 415 V @ 50 Hz
178-8050: 400 V @ 50Hz
387-9679: 230 V @ 50Hz

Wiring Set – A simple clip together assembly system, used to configure a PKZM Motor Protective Circuit Breaker and xStart contactor range to form either a DOL motor starter or Reversing motor starter. No additional wiring between the components is required, which speeds up assembly and prevents wiring errors. The use of this system for Motor Starters up to 5.5kW allows mounting on a single DIN rail.

512-9976: DOL Starter Wiring Set
512-9998: Reversing Starter Wiring Set

Insulated Enclosures – Designed to protect your device and ease installation in a variety of mounting types, commonly accepting one MPCB with auxiliary and voltage trip.

225-7961: For use with PKZM0, Flush Mount with red-yellow rotary knob, for use as EMERGENCY STOP switch. A Padlocking cover is needed for locking the handle of the enclosure in the ’OFF’ position (see stock no. 237-0777).

456-0528: For use with PKZM0, Surface Mount with black-grey rotary knob. A Padlocking cover is needed for locking the handle of the IP55 enclosures in the ’OFF’ position (see stock no. 237-0761).

456-0534: For use with PKZM0, Surface Mount with red-yellow rotary knob, for use as EMERGENCY STOP switch. A Padlocking cover is needed for locking the handle of the IP55 enclosures in the’OFF’ position (see stock no. 237-0761)

492-1591: For use with PLZM01, Surface Mount with operating membrane.

How do I select the right type of Motor Protection Circuit Breaker and Accessories?

Electric motors need protection from phase unbalances, current overload and losses, circuit breakers or MPCBs offer motor protection and prevent short circuits by disconnecting the current. Thermal protection guards against overload, magnetic protection protects against short circuits and faults and phase protection guards against phase loss or imbalance. MCPs or motor circuit protectors only protect against short circuits and generally need an overload relay installing, whereas an MPCB doesn't usually need an overload relay offering magnetic protection and preventing thermal overload. MCPBs can also be integrated into a unit with other devices using accessory kits and modular mounting accessories to provide a full automation and control solution.
