Flaring Pin
Product details
Flaring Pin
Manual flaring tools are used to produce the required 37° flare at the hydraulic tube end to ensure an effective single seal point between the nose of the Triple-Lok flared tube fitting and the tube. These tools are used in a standard workshop vice and the flare is produced by clamping the tube flush in the block halves and hammering the flare pin. A separate block and pin set is used for each tube size.
Flared Tube Fittings
Triple-Lok 37° flared fittings are for use with metric tube. Their simplicity, compact design and ease of assembly have led to their widespread choice for applications that use fluid power in motion control. The steel fittings are ideally suited for low and medium pressure applications up to 350 bar nominal pressure and have an operating temperature range of -40°C to +120°C. Their design is simple. The flaring tool vice and flaring pins (available separately) create a seal and hold fluid under pressure in the system. The tube end is flared to 37° and clamped between the fitting nose and the sleeve when the nut is tightened. This provides an effective single seal point between fitting nose and tube flare. The Parker Triple-Lok fitting consists of three components: fitting body; tube nut; sleeve. For steel fittings it is recommended that seamless drawn steel tubes to DIN 2391/C are used.
