FAQs
What is the difference between a pozidriv and a Phillips?
Pozidriv and Phillips screwdrivers are the two most common types of drivers found in most tool kits. Although they both ultimately allow the same task to be carried out, they feature different tips and are suited to different screws. Pozidriv screwdriver tips feature a cross type tip similar to a Phillips tip, however, pozidriv tips feature straight sided flanks whereas Phillips feature angled flanks and rounded corners. The idea is that a Phillips will slip out if over torqued whereas a pozidriv will remain securely inserted. It is not recommended to use a pozidriv driver on a Phillips screw and vice versa.
Is this screwdriver magnetised?
No, this screwdriver is not magnetised but can be simply magnetised by using a magnetiser, available here at RS e.g. 667-3471
Is this screwdriver VDE approved?
No, this screwdriver cannot be used with electric devices as it hasn't been designed to work under any voltage.
Are the handles removable?
The soft grip handles featured on these RS PRO screwdrivers are fixed, ensuring a safe and secure connection to the shaft preventing unwanted removable and injury.
