PunchOut is a mechanism that makes it possible for a buyer or engineer to access the RS web site from their own procurement system. 

STEP 1

The RS website has access to all products with rich product information. Items can then be added to the shopping cart while both applications maintain their connections.

STEP 2

No orders are sent to the supplier when the user checks out from the PunchOut site. Instead, the shopping cart with the selected products and data is brought back to your e-procurement system into an internal requisition. 

STEP 3

Once back in the system, the requisition may need approval before being converted to a purchase order and sent to the supplier.
