Constructed from highly durable and flame-retardant ABS material, the unit features a transparent, hinged Polycarbonate cover that can be detached quickly for easy access into the enclosure and has an IP65 gasket pre-inserted for optimum protection from grease, oil and chemical exposure, making these enclosures ultra-protective and reliable for a wide range of applications.

What is Ingress Protection?

An IP rating classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact and water in electrical enclosures. The first number indicates the protection from solids and the second number is the protection from liquids.

Can the enclosure be used outside?

This enclosure has an IP65 rating which means it is protected from water spray, dust and debris, so this enclosure unit could be used outside, however regular inspection and maintenance checks are advised.
