Product Details
Looking for a convenient and sturdy switch that you can use in wet conditions? This foot switch bellows from RS PRO has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IPX7, meaning it's fully waterproof and can be submerged under a metre of water for up to 30 minutes. Footswitches are commonly used in medical settings, as they're more hygienic than hand controls.
The switch is ideal for either foot or hand operation as it offers contact or switching options. It's housed in tough, flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC). A plastic base plate allows you to fix it permanently if needed, but it also comes with antislip rubber pads and a two-metre cable, for when you're using it on the move.
The switch meets US (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014) and European (BS EN 61340-5-1:2007) electrostatic control standards, meaning it won't damage equipment via electrostatic discharge. You'll often find this footswitch used as a safety feature in industrial machinery.
