RS PRO liquid level relay is a specialised sensor that monitors and controls the fluid level within tanks, reservoirs, or other containers. When the liquid reaches a predetermined level, the relay activates an alarm, ensuring timely intervention to prevent overflow or dry running. Additionally, it can control equipment such as pumps or valves, or automatically manage operations to maintain the liquid level within a specified range.
The working principle of a liquid-level relay is based on a switching mechanism that detects liquid contact at a certain level and monitors electrical changes to determine the fluid level. There are different types of liquid level relays, including close contact relays, which require direct contact with the liquid, and remote contact relays, which use non-contact methods such as ultrasonic or optical sensors.
